Alternate Renewal Methods of Renewing ABO & NCLE Certification:
Instead of collecting the individual ABO or NCLE certificates at the end of CE class and mailing them all in at the year, to renew your certifications, as a licensed optician you can use the following alternative methods for renewal.

Alternate Method for ABO: You may submit proof of maintaining a valid state license if the state has a satisfactory provision for continuing education.  (Submitting a copy of your Florida License will generally work)

Alternate Method for NCLE: You may submit proof of maintaining a valid state license if the license entitles you to fit contact lenses and the state has a satisfactory provision for continuing education. - This only applies to Florida opticians that are “Florida Board Certified” which is stated on the wall certificate of your license.
